Dr. Edward Gottesman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook. After completing a general practice residency program at Jamaica Hospital Medial Center in Queens N.Y., Dr. Gottesman pursued post-graduate training and received his certificate in Periodontics from the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook. He later achieved board certification from the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Gottesman maintains a private periodontal practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in New Hyde Park, on Long Island. He also maintains a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontology and Implantology at the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook.
Dr. Gottesman is currently an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the New York County Dental Society and the Northeast Society of Periodontics. He has lectured on esthetic soft tissue surgery for root coverage, soft tissue ridge augmentation and various bone grafting techniques for dental implants.
Marci H. Levine, D.M.D., M.D. - Vice President
Dr. Marci H. Levine is in a private practice limited to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New York City. Dr. Levine, a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston, holds both dental and medical degrees and licenses. After graduation from residency, she completed a fellowship in advanced surgical techniques at Lenox Hill Hospital, in New York City. Dr. Levine has a faculty appointment in the Department of Oral Surgery at New York University School of Dentistry and teaches part-time. She is also an active member of the New York County Dental Society and lectured for the First District and Greater New York Dental Meetings.
Christina R. Carter, DMD - Secretary

Dr. Christina Carter graduated from Haverford College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Having attended UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School, she achieved the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine along with numerous awards including the New Jersey Society of Dentistry for Children Award, the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award and the Fauchard Dental Society of New Jersey Award. Following dental school, Dr. Carter earned her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Carter also earned her certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at NYU. In addition, Dr. Carter completed a fellowship at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, NYU Medical Center in Craniofacial and Surgical Orthodontics with Dr. Barry Grayson, Dr. Joseph McCarthy and Dr. Court Cutting. Dr. Carter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Carter is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, NYU Medical Center, along with a dual appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry. She is a member of the NYU Cleft Lip and Palate Team and the NYU Craniofacial Reconstruction Team. Dr. Carter has lectured at the Greater New York Dental Meeting several times and has lectured internationally.
Dr. Michael P. Gulizio D.M.D., M.S. - Treasurer
Dr. Gulizio graduated magna cum laude and received his B.S. in Microbiology & Cell Science at the University of Florida in 1996. He pursued his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated summa cum laude in 2000. He was one of two individuals within his dental class to complete a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, focusing on Professional Leadership.
After obtaining a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, Dr. Gulizio pursued Prosthodontic specialty training at the University of Connecticut. There, he completed a rigorous residency program with strong emphasis on implant reconstruction, esthetic dentistry, and removable prosthodontics (dentures & partial dentures). He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences, focusing on Implant-retained Overdentures and published the associated manuscript in the Journal of Prosthodontics in March 2005. In 2006, his publication was among the top 10 researched dental articles in the dental implant literature.
Dr. Gulizio devotes a significant portion of his time each year attending seminars and training courses which focus on implant dentistry and esthetic (cosmetic) dentistry. He lectures throughout the continental United States to other dentists and specialists on Dental Esthetics and Implant Dentistry.
Jason Deblinger, D.M.D. - Publicity
After attending Rutgers College and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to earn his dental degree, Dr. Jason Deblinger continued his training in endodontics at UMDNJ. He comes from a family of endodontists with an uncle, Dr. Ronald Deblinger, and cousin, Dr. Leslie Elfenbein, practicing with great success in New Jersey.
Dr. Deblinger’s Upper East Side Office in Manhattan has now expanded, extending to a Lower East Side Office with Dr. Claudia Hoffman. Dr. Deblinger integrated rotary instrumentation with obturation and the extensive use of operating microscopes into his practice. Dr. Deblinger is also a clinical instructor in endodontics at UMDNJ, where he teaches postgraduate dental students. He also lectures on endodontics and microsurgery. Dr. Deblinger is a currently an active member of the American Association of Endodontists.
